Last Saturday night we saw 4 great teams battle it out for the chance to represent their respective Divisions in the League Championship.
But even in all the impressiveness of those games,
God was able to show us all how "insignificant" those games are when it comes to life.

The CFL Front Office heard that players from the Arkansas Warriors stopped on their way to and from the game to assist stranded motorists and pull people from damaged homes!

"I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for those Arkansas boys that stopped and help people of the Crusaders' community.  They gave of themselves that just shows the quality of players of league has! On behalf of the Joplin community, THANKS!!" ~ Charlie Hudson.

Names have never been told, but you guys will be blessed by God for your selfless acts of compassion!
Thanks you for showing what caliber of men your are!
We should all be proud as a CFL Family to have men like you among our ranks!

Please continue to keep all the storm victims from SE Kansas, SW Missouri,
NW Oklahoma & NE Arkansas in your prayers.
Reports of wide-spread damage, power outages and even deaths.
No one directly related to anyone in the CFL Family, at this time...

Please keep the family of Brett Fleak, Joplin Crusader, in your closest prayers.

UPDATE-- "I appreciate all the prayers for my family, my dad is in ICU but stable. I took him to the hospital on Friday for an open lung biopsy and during the surgery he had a heart attack. They were able to revive him but he was down for over 8 minutes and didn't know what brain damage was done. 12 hours later he still had not woke up and the doctors were calling in the Neurologists that next morning to see how much brain function was left. Two hours later he opened his eyes and 6 hours after that he was able to squeeze his hand on command. They have now removed the ventilator and he is breathing on his own. When I told him that the Cru had won the game, he whispered that he needed to be released by Saturday so he could watch me play in the Ship! He still has a long way to go (blood pressure extremely low) and they aren't sure yet if there is any brain damage, so we still need prayer. Thanks again."
